About the Department

The Department of Political Science offers complimentary courses to Economics as well as History Bachelor degrees. Though being a single faculty department, it offers a great outreach of multidimensional cognisance about civic sense and constitutional values of the nation among the enthusiastic student community.

Extension/ Outreach

The department recognises and nurtures civil service aspirants and budding policy makers through dedicated extension programmes like screening of documentaries and interactive sessions with creative personalities as well activists etc..

Part of the outreach programs a documentary based on cutting edge policy like green politics was exhibited on 22/08/2019 followed by a creative open forum.

Amalgamation of pupils with the global consciousness is an ever challenging task. In this tune, the department of Political science celebrated the International human rights day on campus with invited eminent personalities including Sri Barkath Ali (honorable retd. High court judge of Kerala).

Infrastructure

The department has a consisting of 1500 books on different areas of Political Science and allied themes. This dedicated and comprehensive repository enlights and paves way to many budding civil service aspirants.
