The Alumni Association of Malayalam Department has been active in the past years. The association and WhatsApp group are working under the name Ottamarakkad. The association was instrumental in getting the Malayalam MA course at Victoria College.A15-member executive meeting was held on December 17, 2017 to intensify its activities. On January 13, 2018, an extensive alumni conference was held with more than 120 participants. The signatures were collected by the alumni and submitted to the Chief Minister and the Education Minister.As a result, MA Malayalam was awarded to Victoria College in September 2018
