- Undertake L V Vaidyanathan memorial Lecture annually
- Carry out plant identification works for Pharmacy colleges, schools and for Forest Department.
- Provide training for students in Mushroom cultivation and horticulture practices
- Provide extension lectures to schools and colleges
- Provide coaching for CSIR-UGC JRF-NET examination
- Moderate academic enrichment programmes through Victorian Botany Alumni Association (VIBA)
- Active participation of students in the Bhoomithrasena Nature Club of the college
