On December 4th, 2024, the Department of Economics at Govt. Victoria College, Palakkad, hosted a lecture titled “How Does Migration Affect Female Labour Participation in India? Evidence From a Large-Scale Survey in Kerala and Tamil Nadu.” The lecture was delivered by Prof. Vinoj Abraham from the Centre for Development Studies, Thiruvananthapuram. The event also commemorated the 100th birth anniversary of the renowned economist K.N. Raj.
On December 10th, 2024, Govt. Victoria College, Palakkad commemorated World AIDS Day with the inauguration of the Red Ribbon Club activities for the academic year 2024-25. The event, organized by the Department of Zoology, IQAC, and Kerala State AIDS Control Society, featured a one-day awareness program.
On December 10th, 2024, Govt. Victoria College, Palakkad hosted an event to commemorate Human Rights Day. The Department of Political Science, Human Value Cell, Gender Equality Cell, Prajyothi Victoria, and Legal Literacy Cell jointly organized a lecture titled “The Protection and Promotion of Human Rights in India: Challenges and Legal Framework”, by advocate K N Abhijith.
On December 9th, 2024, the Nature Club of Govt. Victoria College, Palakkad, in association with IQAC and the Department of Botany, organized a sapling distribution program as part of their initiative “തണൽ” (Spreading Green Shade).
PRAJYOTHI VICTORIANS participated in an event at LEAD College on December 3, 2024, in connection with the celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, organized by the Social Justice Department.
Session on MINDFULNESS IN EVERYDAY LIFE by DARSANA RAJAN (Jeevani Psychologist), organized by Human Value Cell & Jeevani centre for students well being on 29th November, 2024.
Invited talk on CONSTITUTION AND CONSTITUTIONALISM – THE CONTEMPORARY INDIAN CASE by Adv. Akhil Gopikrishnan (Practising Lawyer, Social Worker, and Educationist) organized by the Department of Political Science, Legal Literacy Cell, and Human Value Cell in association with IQAC on 27th November 2024.
