The herbarium in Government Victoria College, Palakkad is a well-maintained collection of preserved plant specimens from all over the Western Ghats region. It is one of the oldest herbaria in Kerala, and has been playing an important role in the study and conservation of plant diversity for over 100 years.

The herbarium contains over 5000 specimens of plants from a wide range of taxonomic groups, including algae, fungi, lichens, ferns, and angiosperms. The collection is particularly rich in specimens from the Western Ghats, which is a global biodiversity hotspot.
